History of the Cousin Card

The History of the Neese Cousin Card

1990's - 2024

In the early 1990’s, the nine grandchildren (aged about 1 to 20) of Tommy and Margaret Neese began to enter college and have different addresses from their parents. Not wanting them to lose touch with their cousins and aunts and uncles, Nancy created the now infamous Neese Cousin Card to keep us all in touch! It wasn’t long before the families of Dave & Edith Neese and Buck & Martha Neese happily joined the group.  Over those three decades, new members have been welcomed into the Cousin Card family via marriages and births. Sadly we have said farewell to several cousins. Today only Aunt Edith survives of the original six parents.

Memorials cards, graduation cards, cousin calendars, cookies to college dorms, and even cousin newsletters have graced the USPS and done a great job of helping to keep us in touch! Our Neese family which dates back only 8 generations from our current youngest cousin (Grace) to Pvt Martin Luther Neese, our American Revolutionary War patriot, is fun to celebrate!

Thank you Nancy / Mom / Nana for your efforts to keep our family connected!
